One Leisure
St Ives, Cambridgeshire
Summary of requirements
Renovation and development Scheme of wet room changing facilities at One Leisure, St Ives on Behalf of Huntingdon District Council.
Site notes
This survey was carried out recently and was made easier by the leisure centre being closed to the public. Before and during the first day of site attendance, an expressly prepared COVID-19 risk assessment was carried out. Risks and hazards were identified, and mitigating actions were applied. At the time, the site was being maintained and secured by a small number of individuals that were highly aware and compliant to COVID-19 secure safety practices.
Project deliverables
- 2D AutoCAD drawings (2020 release) PDFs & photographs.
- Plans issued approximately seven days later.
Survey Method
- The survey was done using a combination of our survey instruments: GPS, a Total Station and traditional tape and Disto methods.
- Permanent survey control was established at accessible locations around the local vicinity.
- Internal ground levels were of specific interest to the client for drainage design and were subsequently record with our total station.
- The measuring process was done over one short day on site.
- The client and the centre staff were happy that the survey was carried out in a quick and safe manor with minimal complications.
